Worthwhile is a detour to the adjacent side streets which are filled with small shops. Tauentzienstrasse is one of the busiest shopping streets. Directly at Wittenberg Platz you can find the legendary KaDeWe (department store of the West) with its famous gourmet-level on the 5th floor. In Tauentzienstraße you can also find the Europa Center and the big department stores.
