The main attraction of the 1.5 km long and 500 meters wide island are probably the animals. With a little luck encounter the wild peacocks stroll between the hundred year old buildings. The entire island is a nature reserve since 1990 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nature and bird lovers, it offers a unique experience.

The park was built from 1821 1834 designed by Peter Joseph Lenné the English style. He managed the three areas of the castle garden, agriculture and animal enclosures to connect garden architectural perfection.

Thanks to the long lasting traditional care the appearance of the island could be preserved in the state of their heyday at 1837th.
