Albert Einstein | Marlene Dietrich | Hugo Egon Balder | David Bowie | Theodor Heuss | Hildegard Knef | Rosa Luxemburg | Iggy Pop | Billy Wilder… What do these people have in common? At first glance, probably not too much. At second glance, you can see, however, that all these people knew how beautiful Berlin Schöneberg. They lived and worked here and in some cases it is the same today.
It is not quite incomprehensible! After all, Berlin Schöneberg has a lot to offer! The district of Schöneberg is part of Tempelhof-Schöneberg and is surrounded by Tiergarten, Kreuzberg, Tempelhof, Steglitz, Wilmersdorf and Charlottenburg. You are quick and easy wherever it is exciting in Berlin and it is worthwhile to drop by!
Explore by foot
Absolutely worth seeing is probably the most famous department store of Germany, the KaDeWe! There, at Wittenbergplatz, you can shop a lot and take a culinary delight! But even the 78-metre high Gasometer, which is a striking landmark of Schöneberg, you should better see from up close. And if you favour a walk in the park, then the Kleistpark is ideal for that. It lays directly across our hotel and frames the magnificent baroque of the Kammergericht (Court of Appeal). Check it out, because it really is a beautiful setting and worth seeing.
Around the corner from our hotel LINDEMANN’S you can find the trendy area around Nollendorfplatz and Winterfeldtplatz. There you can check out the bars and pubs as the whim takes you, on Saturday you can stroll through the weekly market or simply watch with a tasty kebab in your hands the hustle and bustle of people!
“Ich bin ein Berliner!” said John F. Kennedy 1963 in front of the Rathaus Schöneberg. So what about you? Are you also a Berliner?
