My experience with the Berliner Unterwelten (Berlin Underworlds) was terrific. If you are interested in ruins and bunkers of the Second World War, then you absolutely should check out Tour 2. You descend into the old Flakturm (Flak tower) which is today a huge mountain of debris. In the 90 minutes of the tour, you learn everything about the Flak tower and its function as a shelter for the population of Berlin. You will walk on rough terrain and blasted ferroconcrete and experience Berlin from a completely different side. It´s an adventure, that is really worth to see.

If you are rather more interested in the Fall of the Berlin Wall, or in general in the Berlin Wall, then the Tour M would be the best for you. In this guided tour, you will learn a lot about the ghost stations of Berlin and several escape tunnels. In addition, you will get an insight into the desperation of the people, who then planned their escape from the GDR. After the escape tunnels, the next stop on the tour is Bernauer Straße, one of the former trouble spots at the Berlin Wall.

Did I arouse your curiosity? Then I reached my goal. Because these tours through the Berliner Unterwelten are something special and offer you a great adventure.
There are plenty of other tours in the Berliner Unterwelten, so have a look HERE , which tour might be interesting for you.

Berliner Mauer mit Sonne und Wolken ohne GraffitiUnfortunately, the tickets for the most of the tours you can only buy locally at the box office and they are also limited in number per tour. So you should definitely first check the calendar, to see when your desired tour takes place and then, you should be a bit earlier at the box office. Because sometimes it happens, unfortunately, that a tour is fully booked quickly. The more flexible you are in your Berliner Unterwelten-day, the better your chances.

After a hearty and rich breakfast at the Hotel CALMA Berlin Mitte, the Hotel LINDEMANN’S, the fjord hotel berlin or the Anna 1908 you are well prepared for your adventure in the Berliner Unterwelten.

Before you make a move, you should grab a jacket and put on sturdy shoes. Since it sometimes goes quite deeply under the earth, where it is quite cool in summer and sturdy shoes are necessary on this adventure.

However, for all the preparations you will be recompensed in the end. I guarantee!
