The Kastanienallee…

…in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg is the funkiest mile in Germany –the Berliners say in any case. The shopping scene and neighbourhood with its small designer shops, fashion boutiques and the wide range of restaurants attracts Berliners and tourists alike in its spell.

From Eberswalder Straße underground station it runs obliquely to Schönhauser Allee, and leads into the Weinbergsweg direction Rosenthaler Platz. You can very easy jump back and forth between the individual neighbourhoods in Berlin, so you do not miss anything. There is always something going on and you will meet in the Kastanienallee diverse characters. It is about seeing and being seen but also discovering new things. For example, concept stores, such as small shops and boutiques that have their position only temporarily to test their trends, adorn the Kastanienallee.

Of course, you must also stop off in the oldest beer garden of Berlin. The Prater is an established institution in the Kastanienallee since 1852. In addition, the other gastronomic facilities deserve your attention. You can choose from a culinary variety from around the world. Do you like German plain fare, or maybe Spanish tapas or French cuisine? Mexican food? Asian delights? I think you will find something to eat. The cafés and bars in the Kastanienallee are especially in the evening meeting place for artists and creative folks and you are invited to be a part of it.
