The former Tempelhof Airport…

…has become a huge recreation park. The now called Tempelhofer Feld is loved and appreciated by the Berlin visitors.

The former runways are still there. Each track is about 2 kilometres long and is often used for skating, cycling and jogging. The two runways are surrounded by meadows, meadows and meadows. Here, you can lie in the sun and enjoy the nature, forget about the bustle of the city and lose yourself in the vastness.

Longboarder im Sonnenuntergang auf dem Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin bei en LINDEMANN HOTELS®Of course, for a perfect summer evening also means having a barbecue. In Tempelhofer Feld, there are various sectors where you can barbecue at whim sausages, vegetable spits and corncobs and put everything you like on the grill. If you do not want to miss it but you do not feel like grilling on your own, then you can also visit the beer garden at the entrance Columbiadamm. In “Luftgarten”, there is certainly everything your barbecue-heart desires.

The Tempelhofer Feld is indeed not in close vicinity to our hotel LINDEMANN’S, fjord hotel berlin, our hotel CALMA Berlin Mitte or the Anna 1908. However, that is not so bad since the former airport in the south of Berlin is definitely worth a ride by public transport. Therefore, for example, from the hotel CALMA Berlin Mitte you directly go by underground line U6 from Oranienburger Tor to U Paradestraße near the Tempelhofer Feld or you take the subway U7 from the hotel LINDEMANN’S station U Kleistpark to U Südstern. From there it is not far to the largest park in Berlin, the Tempelhofer Feld!
