Are you patient, relative or have other obligations in the Bundeswehrkrankenhaus Berlin? Our hotel CALMA Berlin Mitte is only 2 underground stops away. Ideal!
In 1841, the current Bundeswehrkrankenhaus in Berlin was opened as a garrison military hospital and is regarded today as an important and tightly integrated institution with now 14 medical disciplines. Since 1994, it belongs to the Charité as an academic teaching hospital and is located north of the Campus Charité Mitte. Between the Museum of Natural Sciences and Erika Hess Ice Rink is the site of the Bundeswehrkrankenhaus, which was in the former German Democratic Republic (GDR) on the border to West Berlin. The hospital was under the leadership of the People’s Police and was responsible for the admission and care of persons who were injured while trying to escape from East Germany.
Today the Bundeswehrkrankenhaus treats alongside soldiers and civilians also members of the Federal Government and the German Bundestag.
